Repairs & Maintenance

What is a repair?

When something is broken or damaged, it needs to be mended.   For example:  a leak in a pipe, an electrical fault, heating not working.   Sometimes a repair will be the tenant's responsibility, such as changing a tap washer or replacing items due to negligence.

Contractors are expected to carry out repairs within target times:

  • Routine repairs will normally be completed within 14 working days.
  • Urgent repairs will normally be completed within two working days.
  • Emergency repairs will normally be completed within 24 hours, or at least made safe.

Non-emergency call outs are recharged. Please check your repair is an emergency before calling out a contractor. Tenants should not carry out repairs themselves which are the Association's responsibility.
