Tenancy Agreements

The type of tenancy agreement that you have depends on several factors, mainly:  the date your tenancy commenced, whether you live in a property owned by the Association, or whether you live in Scotland or England. You could have a Secure Tenancy, Assured Tenancy, Assured Shorthold Tenancy or Short Assured Tenancy.   The front page of your tenancy agreement will tell you which type of tenancy you hold.

Tenants' rights and responsibilities are outlined in the Agreements and the Housing Officer or Manager will explain the key parts when you sign your tenancy agreement.   However, it is important to keep the tenancy agreement in a safe place to enable you to refer to it in the future.
